Jewellery made the slower way, on purpose
A conviction that the best jewellery is still made by hand, by people whose names you can learn, and priced without a mystery attached.
The beginning
This house exists because a piece worth keeping is worth making properly, even when that takes longer or costs more than the shortcut version. That standard hasn't moved since the first piece left the bench: if it can be made honestly, we find the way; if it can't, we say so.
That's the whole premise. Not a founding myth, just a standard we still hold every piece to.
The vision behind the bench
The goal is the kind of workshop we would have wanted to learn in — goldsmiths given real authority over timelines, over whether a piece is ready, over whether a design can be made honestly at all.
It also means refusing the industry's habit of secrecy. Nothing about how fine jewellery is made or priced needs to be hidden, and openness has turned out to be the most persuasive thing we do.
Where we are now
We still make in small batches, and we still turn down commissions we can't do well.
We keep a record of every piece that leaves this house, so that when one comes back to us years from now, we know exactly what it's made of and how to care for it.
