Frequently Asked Questions
Find answers to our most common questions below.
How do I know my order has been placed?
You will receive an email confirmation within a few minutes, and the order will appear under My Account → Orders straight away. If neither has happened within an hour, write to us — it usually means an email typo, and we can correct it before anything ships.
How long will my piece take to make?
In-stock pieces are dispatched within two working days. Made-to-order jewellery takes two to three weeks, and fully bespoke commissions four to six. Each product page states its own timeline before you order.
Can I change or cancel my order?
Yes, at any point before the piece enters production — usually the first twenty-four hours. Once a goldsmith has begun work on a made-to-order piece we cannot unwind it, but tell us as soon as you can and we will do whatever is still possible.
Can I have it gift-wrapped, or send it directly?
Every order ships in our hand-finished box as standard. Add a gift note at checkout and we will hand-write it, ship to any address you choose, and leave the price off the paperwork inside.
How much is shipping, and how long does it take?
Domestic delivery is insured and free above our published threshold, arriving in three to five working days once dispatched. Your cart shows the exact cost and the current estimate for your address before you pay.
How do I track my order?
You will receive a tracking link by email and SMS as soon as the piece is dispatched. Live status is also available any time under My Account → Orders.
Is my parcel insured?
Fully, to its complete value, until it is signed for. Every shipment requires a signature — we cannot leave fine jewellery with a neighbour or in a safe place.
Do you ship internationally?
We do, to most countries. Duties and import taxes are set by the destination and are payable by the recipient; the courier will contact you directly if anything is due.
What is your returns policy?
Return anything unworn, in its original packaging, within thirty days for a full refund. Send it back in the insured packaging we provide and we will refund to the original payment method once it arrives.
Is anything non-returnable?
Engraved pieces, bespoke commissions and pierced earrings cannot be returned for hygiene and practical reasons. All three are still covered by our warranty, and we will always flag it before you order.
Can I exchange rather than return?
Yes — for a different size, a different metal, or another piece entirely. If the new piece costs more you pay the difference; if it costs less we refund it.
Which payment methods do you accept?
All major credit and debit cards, net banking, UPI and the popular wallets. Cash on delivery is available on eligible orders, and any additional handling fee is shown before you confirm.
Is my payment information secure?
Yes. Payments are processed by our PCI-compliant provider over an encrypted connection. We never see or store your full card number.
Why did the price change since I last looked?
Gold and platinum are priced by weight against the daily market rate, so a piece can move a little day to day. Every product page shows the full breakdown — metal weight, the rate used, making charges and stone cost — and the price you confirm at checkout is the price you pay.
How do I find my ring size?
Our Size Guide walks you through measuring with a strip of paper and gives full US, UK, India and EU conversions. We will also post a free ring sizer anywhere we ship — just ask.
Can a ring be resized later?
Most rings can be resized once, free of charge, within the first year. Full eternity bands, tension settings and some patterned bands cannot be resized at all — we say so clearly on those product pages.
What if it arrives and the size is wrong?
Send it back within thirty days and we will resize it or exchange it, both ways at our cost. It happens; it is not a problem.
Which metals do you work in?
14K and 18K gold in yellow, white and rose, 950 platinum, and 925 sterling silver. Every gram of precious metal we use is recycled and refined domestically, and every piece is hallmarked.
Are your diamonds certified?
Every centre stone above 0.25ct ships with an independent IGI or GIA grading report, and the certificate number appears on your invoice. Melee and accent stones are graded in-house to the same standard.
Where do your stones come from?
We buy directly from cutting houses we have worked with for years — Antwerp for diamonds, Jaipur for coloured stones — and every stone is chosen by someone who works here. Nothing reaches the bench without documentation behind it.
Is your jewellery suitable for sensitive skin?
Our white gold is alloyed with palladium rather than nickel, and platinum is hypoallergenic by nature. If you react to jewellery, tell us and we will steer you to the right metal.
How should I clean my jewellery at home?
For gold, platinum and hard stones: ten minutes in warm water with a drop of washing-up liquid, a soft brush, then rinse and dry. Never use toothpaste or baking soda, and never put emeralds, opals or pearls in an ultrasonic cleaner. Our Care Guide covers each material in full.
My white gold is turning yellow — is that a fault?
No. White gold is finished with a rhodium plate that wears through after two to three years of daily wear, letting the warmer gold beneath show. Replating is quick and inexpensive, and it is part of normal upkeep rather than a defect.
How should I store my pieces?
Separately — each in its own pouch or lined compartment — and away from bathrooms. Diamonds scratch everything, including other diamonds, and silver tarnishes on contact with air, so a closed pouch keeps it bright.
Can you make something to my own design?
Yes. A bespoke commission begins with a free consultation — in a boutique or by video — and moves through drawing, wax model and casting. Most take four to six weeks, and you approve each stage before we go on.
Can I change the metal or the stone on an existing design?
On most pieces, yes. Choose the metal, purity, stone shape and size on the product page and the price updates live. For anything the configurator does not offer, write to us — it is usually possible.
Do you engrave?
Hand engraving and machine engraving both, inside a band or on the reverse of a pendant. Add it at checkout. Engraved pieces cannot be returned, so do check the spelling twice.
Can you remake or reset a piece I already own?
We do this often, and it is some of the work we most enjoy. Bring the piece in and we will assess the stones, talk through what is possible, and quote before anything is taken apart.
What does your warranty cover?
Every piece carries a lifetime warranty against manufacturing defects — a failed solder seam, a claw that was not properly closed, a clasp that gives way in normal use. Accidental damage and ordinary wear are not defects, but we repair those too, at cost.
Do you offer ongoing servicing?
Complimentary professional cleaning and a claw check for the life of anything we have made. Bring it in once a year; it takes about twenty minutes, and it is how a loose setting gets caught before a stone is lost.
Will you repair jewellery bought elsewhere?
Yes. Resizing, re-tipping claws, replating, restringing pearls, replacing clasps and full restoration. We will always quote before we begin.
A stone has come loose. What should I do?
Stop wearing the piece and send us a photograph. A loose stone is a twenty-minute repair; a lost one is a replacement. We would much rather see it early.
Can I see a piece before I buy it?
Please do. Our Store Locator lists every boutique with its address and opening hours, and each one holds a working selection. Bridal and bespoke consultations are by appointment so you have the table and the gemmologist to yourself.
Can I visit the workshop?
At our flagship the workshop sits behind the consultation table and you are welcome to watch a setter at work. Ask when you book and we will time your appointment for when the bench is busy.
Do I need an appointment?
Not to browse. For bridal, bespoke or valuation, an appointment means the right specialist is there for you — book by phone or through our contact page.
